Originally known as Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion, the stadium underwent a naming change in 2008 when it became Mercedes-Benz Arena. In 2016, it was renamed easyCredit-Stadion for sponsorship reasons. The stadium's association with the financial services company came to an end in 2023, paving the way for the latest name change to MHP Arena.
