Panthers Close Out Class With Another Linebacker Pick

The Carolina Panthers have added another linebacker to their draft class, selecting Georgia's TreVonte Citizen with the 199th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Citizen is a 6-foot-3, 245-pounder who played outside linebacker for the Bulldogs. He is a physical presence who is good at stuffing the run and has the athleticism to cover tight ends and running backs in pass coverage. He also has a knack for making big plays, as evidenced by his 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 2023.
Citizen is the second linebacker the Panthers have drafted this year, joining Clemson's Trenton Simpson, who was taken in the first round with the ninth overall pick. The Panthers are hoping that Citizen can be a key contributor on defense, and he has the potential to be a valuable piece for them in the years to come.
