Inter Milan wins 20th Serie A title
A 2-1 victory over AC Milan in the derby has given Inter Milan a 20th Serie A title and a second star on the team shirts.
The victory gives Inter their first Serie A title since 2010 and their first under manager Antonio Conte.
Inter Milan found a way to reach the Champions League final, but it wasn't easy. The Italian club needed a late goal from Lautaro Martínez to beat AC Milan 2-1 in the second leg of their semifinal on Tuesday night.
Inter had lost the first leg 2-0, so they needed to win by at least two goals to advance. They got off to a good start when Romelu Lukaku scored in the fifth minute, but Milan equalized in the 67th minute through Lautaro Martínez.
With time running out, Inter needed a goal to win the match and advance to the final. Martínez provided it in the 83rd minute, sending the San Siro crowd into a frenzy.
Inter will now face Bayern Munich in the Champions League final on August 23.
